Demetrius Shipp Jr. Talks His Tupac Role In “All Eyes On Me”

The Pen Hustle With Brandy Cavalli

Up & coming actor Demetrius Shipp Jr. had some humongous shoes to fill as Tupac in the new Benny Boom directed film, “All Eyes On Me.” In the video interview below, he speaks on preparing for such an undertaking.

From the looks of the film’s trailer, Demetrius did a fine job filling those 2Pac shoes. The Internet streets would be ablaze right now otherwise.

Hope to see the movie out soon. It’s definetly another NWA -type box office smash if they promote it right.

WATCH: Jay Z Declares The War On Drugs “An Epic Fail”

The Pen Hustle With Brandy Cavalli

Check out this scathing eye opening short documentary in which Hov addresses the war on drugs in the US.

Why are white men poised to get rich doing the same thing African-Americans have been going to prison for?

New York Times:

This short film, narrated by Jay Z (Shawn Carter) and featuring the artwork of Molly Crabapple, is part history lesson about the war on drugs and part vision statement. As Ms. Crabapple’s haunting images flash by, the film takes us from the Nixon administration and the Rockefeller drug laws — the draconian 1973 statutes enacted in New York that exploded the state’s prison population and ushered in a period of similar sentencing schemes for other states — through the extraordinary growth in our nation’s prison population to the emerging aboveground marijuana market of today.

We learn how African-Americans can make up around 13 percent of the United States population…

Donald Trump Goes To Black Church In Detroit To Get Votes

Originally posted on The Root:

Trump surrogates Omarosa Manigualt and Dr. Ben Carson, a Detroit native, accompanied him to the service. The outlet reports that Trump later paid a visit to Carson’s childhood home in southwest Detroit.

As the service began, Trump, who was at the front of the church, began swaying to the hymnal “What A Mighty God We Serve.”

“This has been an amazing day for me,” Trump said after taking the stage. Saying he was speaking from the heart, he called the black church “one of God’s greatest gifts to America” and said that “for centuries the African American church has been teh conscience of our country,” lifting up our nation. Trump said he was attending the service “to listen to your message—and I hope my presence here today will help your message reach new voices.”

He continued, saying that America sidelines “young black men with tremendous potential” and that “our entire country misses out when we are unable to harness the potential and energy of these folks.”

There was reportedly a heavy police presence in the area as well as protesters outside the church, chanting “What do you have to lose?” “Everything!” an apparent play off of Trump’s first direct appeal to African Americans, which didn’t go over so well.

The report does correctly (sort of) say that Flenory, 47, wrote a jailhouse letter asking Obama to pardon him from his drug trafficking convictions. But it was…
